Calling a professional choir into existence, belonging to the Philharmonic of Oradea, became only possible in 1997, in certain conditions which were taking into account the students of the Department of Music of Oradea University.

The present conductor, Zsolt Lászlóffy, through highly professional administration, continues improving the choir’s repertory, which appears periodically, not only within vocal-symphonic concerts, along with the symphony orchestra, but has also created a repertory a capella.
